CrossFit Stamford is Private Training Facility located on 1930 W Main Street in Stamford. Every time you enter the the gym you will be coached.
We are not like most gyms, we require that you always work with a coach. High quality coaching get better results faster and prevents injury. Here's a good video explaining "What is CrossFit?"
We primarily offer group training but do offer private training as well. We offer classes 6 days a week. In addition we offer specialty clinics to our members (nutrition seminars and counseling, running clinics, group outings, field trips etc).
Why train at CrossFit Stamford?
CrossFit will take your training to the next level by focusing on high intensity workouts in a small group setting. Our program provides all of the benefits of personal training at a fraction of the cost.
Expect to be treated as a goal driven athlete. Our athlete's goals are as varied as their backgrounds, ages, and experiences: Preparing for the next season in a sport, losing fat, getting back to the old you or just trying to stay flexible, injury free and healthy.
The secondary benefits of our program can't be measured. Confidence, feeling good, being pain free, being part of a great community, making friends, being more mobile and agile are the intangible benefits our training provides.
The atmosphere in the gym is one of teamwork, support and camaraderie.
We time, score and measure work done because we believe that speed, agility and strength are the outward, visible results of our training. We believe that fitness can, and should, be measured because we believe the hard work required of our training should bear such results.
The idea that training is hard and truly gives people a sense of accomplishment is one of the cornerstone of our coaching. If you aren't out of your comfort zone you aren't going to change. We live in a world of constantly lowering standards that implies that mediocrity is a goal to be met. You will not find that here.
Will I Be Able to Keep Up?
CrossFit is not for everyone...that doesn't want to train hard. The complainers and excuse makers need not apply. If you're willing to give an honest effort and are serious about changing yourself then there is a spot for you in our gym.
Our groups are made up of varying degrees of fitness level, age and exercise history. Your progress will be measured by periodic standardized tests designed so you are always competing against yourself. All we ask is that you work as hard as YOU can.
