How Do I Get Started?

There are several options to choose from:

WOD "Workout of the Day" Classes (large group training)

To get started in CrossFit WOD Classes call 203.569.2906 or email us at info@crossfitstamford.com to reserve your spot in our Beginners "On Ramp" Program.

A new On Ramp Group generally starts the first Monday of each month. If you can not make the regularly scheduled On Ramp classes please contact us to arrange private sessions. The cost of On Ramp is $195 and includes the 3 week program plus 1 week of WOD classes.

The On Ramp class meets 3 days a week for 3 weeks. Classes are approximately 1 hour long. New members must complete all 9 classes in order to graduate to the faster paced more intense "WOD" classes.

The goal of the On Ramp classes is to learn how to properly and safely perform common CrossFit movements and also to increase general conditioning (cardio). You will feel less intimidated learning alongside fellow "newbies" at a slower less intense pace. We will slowly ramp up the intensity and volume as the classes progress.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

If the large group classes don't fit with your schedule and you'd like more personal attention you can opt to join an existing small group or if you're interested in creating your own group with your friends call or email us for more information.

WOMEN'S ONLY CLASS

The women's only class still performs crossfit training but at a more moderate intensity and smaller group size. For more information on getting started please contact Felipe @ 845-304-6210 or fpolanco@hotmail.com

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. I'm in "good shape" can I just jump into regular WOD classes?

A. Nope. There are skills, proper technique on the lifts, introduction to exercises you've never done before that you need to know before jumping into class. Everyone else in that class will have been introduced to them already and the coach can't stop the entire class to teach one individual everything from scratch.

Q. I've been CrossFitting on my own for a while do I still have to do the On Ramp Class?

A. Give us a call and schedule a Skills Test and show us what you know! You will meet with a coach and review where you are with the major movements. You may need to do a private session or two depending on the coaches assesement.

Q. I finished the On Ramp program and don't feel prepared for the regular WOD Classes.

A. Many of our members have repeated the On Ramp program to continue working on their conditioning and feel much more confident and prepared the second time through.
